I Met You At The Bar

I met you at the bar
you turned to me and said
why doesn’t anybody ever turn to me
you didn’t come here often
you looked like misery
If your mother knew your ways oh misery

I have often spent some time with one like you
presenting me your grieving
Presenting me your pain
expecting that ill carry it in vain

You talk about emotions
how sensible you are
and I can tell with one eye that its true
just searching for relations
you really piss me off
but I am used to pain ill see it through

I have often turned my back on one like you
But I was raised politely
and still i am the one
a nightcap and a camel then I’m gone

you talk and talk forever
misfortunes of the day
I smile and how I wish you’d go away
you talk about your goldwatch
about your fear of theft
I loose whatever interest i had left

I have often been to long with one like you
you grasp for things to say
and what you find is wrong
I grab my coat I have to get along

Tomorrow ill be standing
somewhere just like you
searching for emotion like you do
and they will all be leaving
the way that I leave you
still I leave you feeling like a fool

We have often turned our backs on one like you
Presenting us their grieving
presenting us their pain
each man on his own its just a game
