Sirens

I am one
of the rainbow
i am said to be the sailor of them all
it was once off theese mornings
that i saw the sight that came to be my fall

i saw sirens swimming round the ship ashore
and my wits felt slowly weeping to the floor
my folks, i couldnt hear them anymore
they cried while i jumped into the water

i swam for the rainbow
i swam with all the strength i had
i swam for the siren
swam for the love i never had

never did i ever see the sirens
maybe they were never there at all
i managed to get on to an island
ive been here ever since so heed my call

wish you ever that somethings were different
long for somthing that you never had
i took the fall for really trying
for many years ive wondered, was its bad

and now i wait for the rainbow
my beard is growing, long im getting old
the song of the sirens
mock me as my legs are growing cold

ive been alone since i came to this island
never ever saw a living soul
please refer my fate to the dry land
i once was but now i am to old
now i am to old
